Spectacular Turkey

Turkey is one of the incredible countries, a combination of natural rarities and opposites, luxury and modesty, a combination of the Orient and the Mediterranean, and every time you visit it, it will surprise you with something new.

If you thought we made a mistake in the sequence of associations, that tulips and cherries somehow wandered into the list between Bali Beg and hookahs, let us reveal something to you: It’s a misconception that the Netherlands gave the world those beautiful, brightly colored flowers—it was actually Turkey! The first tulip bulbs were taken to the Netherlands in the 16th century by a Flemish ambassador from the court of Suleiman the Magnificent. Tulips were considered a symbol of prestige and wealth, spreading across Europe and causing complete frenzy, often selling for exorbitant prices for many years. Additionally, cherries, for example, also came to us from Turkey.

If you’ve explored both the Asian and European sides of Istanbul, we suggest crossing from one continent to the other underground! More than a hundred years after the Sultan dreamed of a railway beneath the Bosphorus, Turkey inaugurated the Marmaray metro line in 2013.

In 1503, Leonardo da Vinci had completed plans for building a bridge across the Bosphorus, but it was not technically feasible at the time. Today, the Bosphorus is spanned by three suspension bridges and two underwater tunnels, connecting traffic between two continents.

Muvaffakiyetsizleştiricileştiriveremeyebileceklerimizdenmişsinizcesine is the longest word in the Turkish language, with 70 letters! Its approximate translation would be: “It seems as if you are one of those whom we may not be able to quickly make into makers of failures.”

Turkey is home to 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This fall and spring, we want to introduce you to Göreme National Park and the rock formations of Cappadocia, which are truly breathtaking!

Don’t worry, all our arrangements are individualized, departures are secure, and we adhere to all preventive measures related to COVID-19!
